The Grace Kelly fairy story
relives in Rome: bon-ton style dresses
& chic allure

Grace Kelly is a timeless legend.
Just ask Mika, who dedicated a hugely successful song to her,
or ask the organisers of the exhibition at the Memmo Foundation, “Gli anni di Grace Kelly”.

Grace Kelly a style icon for Marina Rinaldi

Grace Kelly a style icon for Marina Rinaldi

This exhibition is dedicated to the Hollywood actress who, just like in the fairy tales, married a real prince, Ranier III of Monaco.
The exhibition was inaugurated in Rome on 16th October last, set up by Frederic Mitterrand, former director of the Academy of France in Rome. Wandering aimlessly through the splendid rooms of Palazzo Ruspoli among photographs, dresses and testimonials from the golden age of international high society, it is easy to understand why the style of the Princess of Monaco is still so up to date.

Her precious simplicity, combined with natural elegance, made her one of the most imitated fashion icons in history, an unmatchable model of style which we all dream of emulating.
The Marina Rinaldi Elegante collection includes not only bon-ton style dresses, with very chic colours and shapes, but also feminine accessories, in perfect Grace Kelly style.
The Princess loved bags and gloves, although her great passion was coats, with soft, embracing lines, stoles and capes for the grandes soirées in the Principality.
By day tailored coats and trenches with a regal, composed appeal, but always very feminine, then as now, ideal for the woman with a soft yet determined personality, just like the unforgettable Princess of Monaco.
