Melissa McCarthy chose to wear a made to measure Marina Rinaldi dress to walk down the famous red carpet leading to the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles for the Oscar Night 2012.

The actress Ashley Fink was the new entry in the second season of the brilliant TV series “Glee”, based on the lives of a group of high school students who are bullied at school because they joined the Glee Club where members can freely express their passion for singing and dancing.

Ashley plays Lauren Zizes, head of a wrestling club, who joins the Glee Club by chance and manages to seduce the most macho member of the group, the fascinating Puck. The audience responded well to Ashley because her curves have become her strong points both on the set and in real life too.

Here she is at the “Glee: the 3D Concert Movie” premiere held on 6^th August in Los Angeles wearing an elegant total black dress designed by Marina Rinaldi. Laser-cut petals adorn the shoulder straps and the dress that has elegant three quarter length sleeves with a delicate see-through effect.

Ashley perfectly matches her little black dress with couture petals with a pair of black leggings and plateau decolletè that enhance the silhouette. The effect is definitely very “glee”, whilst makeup and accessories are a sure sign of her becoming a Broadway star!

Guest star on New York’s tv show “Live With Regis and Kelly”, the undisputed soul queen Aretha Franklin gave the audience a rousing performance.

Her performance was even more special thanks to the white tuxedo designed by Marina Rinaldi which was embellished with turquoise accessories.

For years she portrayed Sookie in the TV series “Gilmore Girls”, the best friend and chef that everyone would love to have, and in August we’ll be seeing her on the big screen in the hilarious comedy  “Bridesmaids”.

It was Melissa McCarthy’s turn, with her contagious smile and flow of energy, to do the honours in Los Angeles’ Beverly Hilton Hotel ballroom during the prestigious Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards, an award that goes to actresses, producers and directors that have made a mark in the world of films and entertainment.

For such an important evening, just around the corner from Sunset boulevard, Melissa’s look was placed in the capable hands of Marina Rinaldi: the couture elegance of a two-tone black&white tunic with jewel detailing (adding a sophisticated sparkle in the night light) and contrasting edges, black straight-legged trousers and sandals covered in rhinestones.

There will be a real ‘Tribute to Florence’ for this occasion. A project called “Florentine Madonnas“: 13 famous women from the aristocracy, entrepreneurship and government establishments have been photographed by the portrait artist Lorenzo Poccianti.

Their photos will be put on show on 28 April at the Teatro Comunale during the Premiere of the Florentine Maggio Musicale that Marina Rinaldi is co-sponsoring.
A Gala Dinner in the Piccolo Teatro for 300 esteemed guests, among which Sofia Loren, will close the evening.
